If you don't mind me asking, Doreen, how old are you? It was the

firbroids and menopause that caught my attention.

I am using the diet to overcome infertility. Within the first month, my

pms had subsided. BUT no pregnancy yet and this will be my 3rd month.

BUT I also checked out D'Adamo's reason web sight and found my magnesium

pills had corn in them. So I have gone through and eliminated all of the

additive foods and I will see what happens. I am also taking herbs and

trying to stick with the HB ones, but it sure is hard in this aspect. I

can eat HB and stay away from the avoid food and herbs, but when it comes

to giving my body that extra edge, it is hard to stay away from the

neutral herbs. Pam.

my experience with infertility took me 4 years to find a dr that gave me

cortisol. i was pregnant within 30 days...

O's are low in cortisol i heard and without proper level nd enough fat on

your bones you have very little chance of getting pregnant.

i think the med was called deximethisone.

for fibroids and endometriosis i was put on Danocrine. i haven't had pain

since and was only on it a short time.

don;t know if the Good Lord just touched the hands of the docs for me or if

it would work for all...its worth talking to the doc about though.

be well,.

I was looking into NAET for overcoming allergies. I don't mind avoiding

the bad foods, but I thought in case there are any HB foods I am allergic

to. NAET is similar to acupressure/acupuncture I believe.

Is anyone familiar with it? I was hoping it would be a one or two shot

deal. But the person figured I would be going 30 times at $50 a visit.

I cannot afford that right now and what if it does not work with

secondary infertility? Pam.

Thank you Betty for your kind words and for thinking of me. I know what you mean

about the rain - I watch the barometer at times and am like " yup, that's why I

hurt " . We have a storm front moving through today and its just making my joints

feel like they are going to pop. I live in Florida, so am not looking forward to

Hurricane Season (June 1 - November 30). We've desperately needed this rain, so

I'm not going to complain about it too much.

This morning my daughter and I were goofing with an old ny Cash song:

& #9835; I feel the rain a'comin' - its rolling round the bend - I haven't been

pain free in...I don't know when... & #9835; Just a little silly in the midst of

all this discomfort.

Have a blessed day.....Doreen :)

hi doreen,

i hope your pain is better. i really felt for you , when i read your post. i

am going thru the same thing. finished my prednisone, and i can really tell the

difference. swelling and pain has come back. i take lortab, but its not helping

as good as it was to start with. i think all this rain we ars having has some

effect on my OA and RA. yep, i have both. my back and hips, and knees are the

worse right now.

take care, just wanted you to know i am thinking about you....

BETTY

Hi Doreen: I just read your post, and sorry to read that you are

feeling awful. I know you are frustrated, and rightly so. It seems

when it rains, it pours.

I hope your blood work is fine, and I sure hope your Rheumy will see you

very soon. I hope he/she will be able to see what is causing you all

these problems and pain, and help you. It is truly not fair to suffer

so much, day in and day out.

I pray things settle down, so you can feel better, and sleep better.

You have so much going on right now. I hope your Rheumy has some

answers for you, and meds. to help you out.

I am sure this hot and humid weather we are having here in Florida is

not helping you any. Do you have a pool, and do you use it every day?

Does it help you? I hate this weather in the summer here, but I do

enjoy the pool.

Wishing you pain free days ahead. Please rest and take care of yourself

as best as you can. I think of you often, and you are in my prayers.

Hugs,

Barbara

Hi Doreen,

My husband is taking the Minocycline also but only 50 mg and only 3 times a

week. I have read the protocol from the Road Back foundation too. He's been on

it a couple months now. He was taking Methotrexate but got so sick from it so

his Rheumy put him on Leflunomide. He seems to be doing a little better. I am

anxious to hear how you do on minocycline with your higher dosage. Keep me

updated. Thanks!

Lori

> Hi Dennis - I'm sorry to hear that the Humira didn't work for you. I was

taking Enbrel for 7 weeks and ended up feeling worse with each injection

compared to before I started it. After the 7th injection, I ended up with a

double ear infection and a sinus infection. I have not started back with it, but

have gone to Minocycline 100mg twice daily instead - that is the antibiotic

protocol that this site speaks of:

http://arthritis.about.com/cs/antibiotic/a/antibiotictreat.htm The Road Back

Foundations also speaks of the antibiotic protocol (AP):

http://www.roadback.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/home.main.html

>

> My Rheumy was reluctant to start me on the AP, but we came to a compromise -

if it doesn't work, I'll give the Enbrel a second try. I feel some relief since

being on the AP - I'm afraid to try the Enbrel again, so I wonder how much is

really helping with the AP or how much of it is wishful thinking? Best of luck

to you.....Doreen :)
