Hi all!

I just joined the group a few minutes ago. My name is Hope and I just

turned 46 on May 30th.

It seems that when I turned 40,my body turned on me. I was diagnosed

at the time with depression,Hoshimotis disease and diabetes. At 42 I

had my gall bladder removed and have a jar of the smoothest ROCKS

that you've ever seen. There are 17 of them and most are as big as my

index finger,a couple as big as my thumb.

Three years ago I was very depressed and went to our local mental

health clinic. I told the worker how I was feeling and the way my

body hurt. My muscles and joints are in constant pain and many times

are very stiff.

The worker gave me info on fibromyalgia and I finally got the answers

I was looking for.

It is one thing to have a disease that can be measured in sugar

levels,t cell levels, and how depressed you are. It is quite another

to have so much pain,go through every arthritis and muscular disease

test only to be told they are all normal.

Your Dr. looks at you as if you are crazy and you begin to feel as

though you are loosing your mind too.

I know by joining this group I am amoung those who understand the way

I feel. I would welcome hearing from those of you who would care to

share your stories.

I am also trying to get disability and have almost been driven to

distraction with that. I am in the very last stage, final appeals

council,of my case. I am unable to work at all. I cannot even take

rides in the car or shop at the supermarket for more han 20 minutes

without a great deal of pain. I get panicky thinking that I will be

forced to go back to work when I am unable to even keep my own house

up without a lot of help.

If any of have any tips on this I would surely appreciate it.

Thanx

Hope
