Guest guest
This morning the intense out patient group went great, I love it when clients make significant headway and you see the light come on and they have those moments of clarity, this is the reason that I chose this profession. If I can help one person make thier life better, than it blesses me more than you can Even imagine. I am so blessed, I love being a counselor. But even a counselor needs counseling, right? lol. I went to my primary Dr today and he reviewed my last X-rays and MRIs and confirmed that there were problems back then (2yrs ago) and that he wants to do a complete new set of MRIs to see the progression of my disease, and that there is probably significant changes that may be causing nerve impingement thats causing my loss of leg muscle control. It would mean surgery or surgeries on my lumbar, thoracic, and or cervical spine. I have a wonderful neurosurgeon that has already done a great job on my neck. I am still scared and freaked out, I remember the pain of the last three surgeries that I had, for the first week or two on the first two. but the last one, recovery time was 6 to 8 months and didn't seem to be getting any better. Then I was diagnosed w/OA, RA, and Lupus which explained the lack of recovery, then my rheumy put me on MTX, Plaquinel, Prednisone, Folic acid, and Vitamin D, and then my recovery progressed allot better. . I know that God is with me and I trust him, I still am not looking forward to the recovery possess. I am so grateful that I found you guys and I thank God that I can finally can share with people who can understand what I am going through and have empathy because you have been there. I can talk to others but they just don't get it. As I learn more about RA and am able to give more help I look forward to giving back, some day I will have allot to offer but for the moment I am quite needy. I sincerely appreciate all the warm and compationate responses and welcomes THANK YOU I have found a new home and hope to be an asset to this group someday soon. May your days be blessed and pain free.....Randy.....
Guest guest
Hi Randy,  I'm glad you got a diagnosis and even though the surgery sounds tough, at least there is some hope. It's amazing what doctors can do now-a-days. Please keep us posted.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers.  Oh and also, I'm glad your consuling group went so well. I'm sure you have lots of compassion and that's why your clients are helped so much. They are lucky to have you.
