Guest guest
Hello, Some time ago I was about to buy a vibro machine trainer and promised to post about my experience with it. I bought a small (about 40X50X120 cm) and cheep (350 euros) machine, suitable for use by persons having a weight of less than 240 pounds. There is a scale of vibration frequencies raging from 1 to 12 and it is. The model I bought is VIBROPLATE SPR-V280. (I am not advertising). More expensive models are bigger, have a broader frequency rage and are addressed mainly to professionals. Before buying it, I had a short training. There are many exercises concerning different groups of muscles and during the vibration these muscles must be fully contracted. This means that the machine is not effective if used by a peson who doesn't have full control of his/her muscles. If somebody just puts his/her feet on the vibration plate, there is no other effect than a relaxing massage. My personal experience so far is good. I started training 4+4 min/day at a medium frequency (6 over 12). For the first two days it was too much for me and I felt my muscles overtired. I stopped for one day and from the next day I restarted and I feel OK. From next week I will be gradually raising the time and frequency of my exercise. My goal is 10 min twice a day at a frequency of 10 (I was told that this is the optimum for a healthy woman in her forties). I think that having such a machine at home it is a good solution. I will let you know about my long term results. Katerina
