Guest guest
I have to share this..I found it interesting. Saturday night, my husband and I went out. We'd had plans to explore downtown Lincoln and check out the music down there. But, as we got closer to our destination, we realized that the Husker's game was still in the 3rd quarter and that everything was packed and football related. While I love football, my husband just doesn't get it so we hit an out of the way coffee shop we know. I had a small mocha. I quit coffee about 10 months ago, and quit caffinated tea 3 months ago. The mocha went straight to my head. I got light headed and jittery. While drinking our coffees I asked my husband if he noticed any differences with the raw food. He insisted he really doesn't see much difference in himself, but he sees huge differences in the kids and me. I pointed out differences I've seen in him. And asked him if he's sure he doesn't feel anything different. He said that he might be thinking a little more clearly and it's easier to control his wandering attention (He's got ADD) 90 minutes or so later, we realized that my husband never got to eat dinner because he was dealing with kids, so we set out in search of a 'safe place " to eat. (we're both 100% raw now) We settled on a chain restaurant because it was the only thing open for miles. I ordered a salad and hubby ordered a vegetarian egg dish, thinking it would be safe. He said his egg dish tasted horrible.. not like he remembered it, and he couldn't even finish it. 20 minutes after we ate he became super tired, had a hard time driving home. By the time we go home he had a headache, his stomach was upset. He felt horrible. Sunday he was irritable, and grouchy, and couldn't concentrate on anything. He spent the day bouncing from one project to another, not accomplishing anything until I finally sent him to the park with the kids. We're both figuring they restaurant spiked the egg dish with msg, and the eggs had an effect on him as well. I found it interesting to see the effects of the raw food diet on someone with no real health problems. I think I was almost as surprised as my husband was.
