Guest guest
Hello Doctor, I was diagnosed with HepC in Aug., 1998. I went on the combo therapy in November and stayed on through May 1999. At that time my enzyme levels were normal and no virus was detected. When I was retested in December my enzyme levels are elevated and the virus is back. My doctor says that there is nothing more for me to do and I should just return for a checkup in 6 months. I am uncomfortable with this and feel that maybe if I had stayed on for 12 months or tried a different treatment I would sustain a response. My liver biopsy showed inflammation and fibrosis. (borderline stage 2/3) Would you suggest I get a second opinion or do you concur with my doctor that I should just wait. Thank you. Guest guest
mine is also lower back. they told me the xrays showed some deterioration and bone spurs in the hip and spine. which i guess was his way of saying " just deal with it " , or the other standby, " it's all part of the disease process. " sigh. > > Hello everyone. I know from reading posts for a while that many of us suffer with hip pain. My doctors cannot figure out what is causing mine. I had a fall on my right hip in December. The MRI and X-rays showed nothing. It continues to hurt to this day. I am finishing a round of PT, and although this feels good, it hasn't helped. The pain is in the butt/groin area, and pain shoots down my leg. Does anyone else suffer with this type of pain? > > Angie in TN >
Guest guest
Hi Angie, What you're describing sounds a lot like sciatica. Check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sciatica and see if it describes your symptoms... I have battled sciatica on & off for about 2 years, but have found that working on my posture, especially at the computer, along with changing footwear has helped. Adjusting the driver's seat of your car may help, too. Hope this helps, Kate P-B in STL Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
Guest guest
I have spondylolisthesis in my spine, and it's causing pain similar to yours. I call it hip pain, but it's actually in my butt, left side, and goes down into my leg. My ex-rays showed what was wrong, though. I've had so many other health problems to pop up that I've put that on the back burner. The pain bothers me most at night when I'm trying to go to sleep. When it's severe, I take a tramadol. Guest guest
Hi... It's most likely your lower back which may have suffered an injury when you fell as well. I had exactly the same experience when I severely injured my back years ago. You may have bruised or herniated a disk. I'd have 'em check your back. In the mean time an ice pack can be very effective. Stan Seallte , Hot! [ ] Unanswered Questions Hello everyone. I know from reading posts for a while that many of us suffer with hip pain.
