Hi Donna.

I am resting a lot!!  I hate trying to walk on this foot as it is just

so painful.  I will have the stitches removed this Tues.  I hope I can get a

regular shoe on my foot then.  The walking one I have on since my surgery, has

to be on 24/7.  It does help, but the wound is in such a bad place.  I will be

glad when I can be in my pool.  I have missed it a lot.

It is good you are thinking about RA meds. now.  They sure do help.  I

know it is a big decision for you.  For me, I didn't think twice about my

treatment or the drugs I needed to take.  I was in such a bad state, that I

would have taken anything to feel better.  In 6 days I went from a totally

functioning woman, to someone who could not feed herself, get dressed, help

getting in and out of bed, swollen all over, and in incruciating pain 24/7.  My

RA came on fast and hard.  It has been 6 years now, and I am doing great.  No

pain or suffering at all.  My meds. have been the +perfect cocktail " and I

thank God that they are working so good.  For the last 1  1/2 years, I have

only had one short flare and was easilly fixed by my Rheumy uping my Pred.  How

long this lasts I don't know.  I will do and take whatever I have to to have a

life.  RA has changed my life, but I work around it as best as I can.

I know you will make the best choice for yourself.  I pray you find the

right meds. and begin to have a better life while dealing with RA.  You have

heard me say many times, RA is a ugly beast which rears its ugly head to us.

All we can do is do the best we can, and find a great Rheumy.

    I hope you have a nice 4th.

Hugs,

Barbara

I'm so glad that your surgery is over and done. Hopefully each day will give you

a little more relief!!! Melynda posted wondering about your surgery too, so yes

Melynda, Barbara's surgery is done.

I am taking each day one at a time, but I am closer to giving in to taking the

oral meds and injections I think. I am starting to feel the damage happening to

my joints!

I hope you get all the rest you need Barbara!

>      Nice to hear from you.  I am doing good and glad the

surgery is over.  It is very tender and makes walking difficult.  I will

have the stitches out next Tues.  It is healing good, but I am off my feet

and just taking it easy.  I do use my cane for stability.

days ahead.  Take care of yourself.
