Guest guest
Thanks Ian for keeping us updated about your photoderm. I am very interested in how all are doing with this treatment. When is your next treatment? I went Monday to Vein Solutions and had a consultation with Doctor Starr. She did a test spot on my face and she seemed pleased. It burned and swelled for a couple of hours afterwards and stayed red for several days. She also seems to think I will only need 2-4 treatments. I'm signed up to have my first treatment May 3rd. I am extremely nervous about it. I can't imagine my entire face burning and swelling and then having to drive home 95 miles afterward. I have also had a relapse this week in my redness. We have been enjoying 70 plus temperatures here for the last week, so I did take advantage of it and went to work outside in my yard as I normally do this time of the year. I love yard work and gardening. Well becoming overheated, sweaty, and dirty did not do me a bit of good for my face. Thank goodness I have the special compound to put on at night, It does help, but I think I am going to move up to the next higher level. I gave up exercising months ago because I found it to be my biggest trigger. If I get the least bit overheated and sweaty, my face turns beet red and blotchy. Then it takes a day to recover. Now working outside is affecting me the same way. This is very depressing to me. The only thing worse is when my eyes bother me so bad that I can barely stand to use the computer or read a book. Keep us updated, ~Deborah ********************************************* isammis@... wrote: > Day six of first photoderm treatment. > The redness from the treatment is gone, I do notice some improvement, but still have that overall redness. Guest guest
Hi Deborah, I know exactly how you feel about yard work being a trigger because I love gardening too. Normally at this time of year I would spend hours at a time in the garden....now because working in the warmth bothers me so much, I can only work outside on cooler, cloudy days...and then only for a short while. It makes me so frustrated and for me is one of the hardest things to come to terms with. Take care, Jen ------------------------------------------------------------------------
