le,

it has been suggested that one's body 'adjusts' to its needs vs. what

it has been fed. If you ate a goodly amount of substantial foods

(meats/protein/fats), then I wouldn't find it surprising that you

wouldn't have much hunger for a longer time after. The same is true of

when you do lots of heavy activity, you may then eat more than you

usually would too. You may want to play with feeling your hunger

'degrees' but don't let yourself get too light headed!

Best to you, Katcha

IEing since March 2007

Thanks Katcha! It's good to hear that from someone who has been doing

this for over a year. You were right about being light headed ;). How

did you know? Hahaha....I guess that is another signal of hunger. Not

just your tummy but a slight headache too!

It's funny you bring this up...I just past a part in the book

(Tribole and Resch) that says (pg 86) " Sometimes our clients get

worried when they suddenly feel more hungry than usual--as if

something is wrong. However, on close inspection, they usuall find

that a couple of days prior they had an unusually light day of

eating--not dieting, but just not a lot of food. The body plays

catch-up on its own terms. " So I imagine this would work the other

way around too.

Isn't that understandable? Of course it feels like something is wrong

because everytime I get more hungry and eat more I start thinking " Oh

no... the bingeing starts again! "

I think it takes a long time after being afraid of hunger (because it

means eating food when we can no longer resist) to get rid of this fear,

if it's possible at all.

I'm afraid of these " more hungry " days. " Will this be different again

tomorrow? Or will it be like it always was in the past, that these

'hungry days' won't be over until months and 50-100 lbs from now? "

I hate these hungry days. They scare me.

Regards

s.
