Back to 10 mg. of Prednisone

Hi everyone: I was down to 5 mg. of Pred. but started to have a few

problems. Had to go back to my original dose of 10 mg. a day.

I started with a flare of my feet and ankles, then my hands started to

be painful. My ring finger on my right hand swelled so bad in the

night, I awoke with the pain. My son had to cut the ring off my finger.

Boy, did that hurt! I called my Rheumy and think I caught this flare in

time.

Today is the third day of the 10 mg., and my feet and ankles are fine.

So is the rest, except for that one finger. It is still badly swollen,

and very painful. I am sure it will be gone in a few days.

I see my Rheumy Mon. and leave the next day for Mass. I won't start

another decrease until I am back home.

You know me, I will try again to get off my Prednisone. Maybe one day I

will be successful.
