Guest guest
, thanks for the reply. My Aunt has successfully used a lift chair for the past few years and it helped a lot. But now she doesn't use it. Says it's no good anymore, and even when I'm there she's afraid she will fall when it picks her up. She also has the raised seat on her toilet. Last year she qualified for a power chair at little or no cost to her. ;-) She also has a porti-potty which is next to her bed. It seems that now she is just becoming too weak to move more than a few steps at a time. She also seems to be in a lot of pain at times and that doesn't help either. Maybe when she does come home the hospice idea is one we never thought of. We will talk to somebody at the hospital about that option. I should also mention she does have a heart problem but has never suffered a heart attack. Maybe next message I'll post a list of the meds she takes. I give those to her and it's a lot of pills. Again thanks for the ideas. Ken
