Guest guest
Welcome Whitney. The more you post, the more you learn too. Getting the IE book is a very good start, and I would like to point out that there is a Book List in the Files section at this group site which could be interesting to you too. Many of these books are available at libraries, you just need that author's name and titles. Ask any question, post what you are experiencing and know that you are not alone in this process. Even rants are OK here Best to you - Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > > Hi everyone! My name is Whitney. We're a military family stationed in Oklahoma City. Guest guest
Hi Katcha! Thanks for the welcome! I realize that I have been " IEing " for the past month or so without knowing it, I can't explain WHY but it seems that something clicked in my mind. Example: I quit smoking 12 days ago. I was really craving a smoke. I made some popcorn even though I wasn't hungry. I looked at it and had this realization that if I wasn't hungry, food wasn't the answer. I dumped the popcorn in the trash (a first for me!) and it seems that I am much more in tuned to how my body is feeling rather than on a schedule, or eating just for the sake of eating. Anyway, thought I'd share this ~*~Whitney~*~ Feminism is the radical notion that women are people. > > Subject: Re: hello, newbie here! > To: IntuitiveEating_Support > Date: Saturday, September 20, 2008, 9:50 AM > Welcome Whitney. Guest guest
Thanks for sharing your story Whitney and we are glad to have you with us. Eva Hi everyone! My name is Whitney. Guest guest
Good awareness Whitney. A while back another member posted how they 'recycle' what they don't want to eat by sharing it with birds. That way they don't get the 'waste not' back lash that some of us get about tossing out food. My you are brave - tackling quitting smoking and taking on IE at the same time. At least you are having awareness and that's a terrific start too. Best to you, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > > Hi Katcha! Thanks for the welcome!
