Guest guest
, and Susie, Here is an article from WebMd on Vit D and pain. http://www.webmd.com/pain-management/news/20031210/lack-of-vitamin-d-linked-to-\ pain The other thing is that my Rheumatologist has RA but never tests positive for it. You can't miss it either her knuckles are all swollen. When I first went in for RA testing when I was 28 the doctor said can you move your fingers and I did and he said you don't have it. Well guess what. He was wrong. I had a test for RA that was not a blood test. It was a test where they put this glow stuff in you and you come back and they take like ex-rays and you glow where ever you have the RA. It was kinda neat. You may want to see if you could have that done just to make sure. I have also tested positive for Lupus at one hospital, and negative at another. I don't have Lupus. We could look on the bright side with this Vit D and pain thing, just think if we could get rid of some of our pain with just Vit D wouldn't that be great. I hope the article helps. How coincidental! My doctor just found out my vitamin D is very, very low. My RA factor test does not show I have RA. Could my problem only be from lack of vitamin D? What could cause me to get so low in it if that is the case? Do people with RA tend to become deficienct in vitamin D, or does this go along with RA disease somehow? Guest guest
Hi Susie, A lot of the research I've done claims that most people with auto-immune diseases are low in vitamin D. Haven't had mine tested but am considering taking a vitamin D supplement, before I agree to the heavy duty meds. Don't have a clue if it will do any good but willing to give it or any other natural treatments claiming no side effects before my first apporintment on the 27th of this month. Guest guest
Susie, Nobody is certain about why many patients with RA have a vitamin D deficiency. Guest guest
It could be the fillers in the Citracel. It makes my lips swell on one side, so I ended up giving it away to my mom.
