Hi Sheryl,

We are moving from Michigan to Wisconsin next month and will be living near

family for the first time in over 30 years. We couldn't be happier and I

hope the weather, which isn't different from here in Michigan won't be a

problem for me. I am curious about finding a new rheumatologist. Any

information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Janet,

I'm in Silver City, NM which is in the southwest corner of the state about

an hour from the AZ border. I'm at 6,000 ft elevation. So the climate

here may or may not be like yours in AZ depending on where you live. We have

highs in the summer in the 90's and lows in the winters in the 20's. The

weather here has been a dramatic improvement for me and the intensity of my

RA symptoms.

I find that the warmer temps (I came from WI) and the drier humidity has

given me my life back. While I still have inflammation and pain, at least

now I can get out of bed and do a few things. I am on crutches but I think

another winter in WI would have killed me. Seriously, it was that bad. I

absolutely love it here and would never go back.

I used to see Dr Deborah at the Marshfield Clinic.  That's in central

Wi.  She was very kind and caring.

Good luck w/your move!
