Guest guest
I omitted to mention (significant in itself perhaps?) that I have attributed a dulling of the mind to Sulfasalizine, and what I have described to the Doc as a sense of unreality or disconnectedness from things around me. I was told that this is not a recognised side effect of Sulfasalizine. Holding down a good job and 'contributing' when you don't feel mentaly sharp is tough. Does anyone have similar experiences or can this be attributed directly to the PA perhaps? Geoff [ ] sulfasalizine Recently started on sulfasalizine along with vioxx and really feel the difference. Haven't felt this good in a long time. Has anyone had any side effects from the sulfasalizine. I've been fatigued and seem to have a decreased sex drive lately. Has anyone experienced this? My wife doesn't think thats such a bad thing. Dan [

Guest guest
Hey everyone! I hope everyone is having a pain free day! Many of you know while I have RA, my daughter has psoriatic arthritis. She has been started on her first DMARD, Sulfasalazine. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks and she is currently taking 1 tablet in the AM and 1 in the PM. We are working on a 4 week progression to 4 tabs per day, 2 AM and 2 PM. My question: Has anyone taking this medication experienced insomnia? This is the only change to meds she has had recently and when she started the 1 at night, she can't fall asleep until 3 AM! I am going to start dosing it earlier and see what happens but all I can think is... What is it going to be like when she gets to 4 tabs a day??????? *~ Kami ~*
Guest guest
Hi Kami, I've been taking 4 tablets of Sulfasalizine a day for about 6 months now. I've been having problems sleeping. Lots of times I'm up till 3 or 4 in the morning. Then there are nights when I'm able to get to sleep around midnight I'll wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning. I hadn't thought about it being connected to the Sulfasalizine. And I can't remember if I had this problem before taking it. Interesting.... Just wanted to let you know, yes, I have insomnia and take Sulfasalizine.
