Guest guest
OKD, When I first became sick and prior to diagnosis, every morning I could feel " crunching " in my feet with my first steps of the day. Guest guest
I do feel this way a lot. Especially when meds are wearing down. My right foot also like to get stuff stiffly to the right side making it had to walk from time to time. Mostly it's my knees and stiffness in my legs making me feel old old old (I am 31).  Kate Fontaine  " Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened. Guest guest
Yes, The first few steps upon waking it feels like I can feel every bone in the tops of my feet and achillees tendons stretch out painfully. With more movement it limbers up, but the first couple minutes its painful.
Guest guest
I have had pain in the tops of my feet for years but seems worse lately. It has been very humid here and wondering if humidity makes it worse. I don't usually feel much better in summer, though. Guest guest
I have a problem with the inside bottom of my feet... Sometimes when I walk (by far worse in my right foot) it feels like something is moving around. I'm hoping that's just fluid!? At times I've wondered if a bone was broken. Guest guest
Wow, that website is helpful, I never thought I might be having neuropathy issues (possibly). The bones feel brittle, its scary....worse, I dont think you can do anything about it (maybe use some support like a brace or an ace???) Dont like the feeling at all, it makes you walk different, as if you are afraid....plus I am heavy, so it makes it worse. Yes, I know, I know I need to loose the weight (easier said than done). Everything exacerbates everything (sigh!). last night I walked my booty off, up down and all over town, trying to get exercise. This will hit me today, i am sure - L0L:))
Guest guest
Hi OKD - yup, sounds like the good ole' RA has taken on your feet too. Have you had any recent xrays of your feet? When I had my baseline xrays done, it showed that I had it in my right foot which explained why it was so painful to drive anymore. I also have a bone spur growing on the bottom of my left foot, so I have been on a quest to find the most comfortable and soft bottomed shoes so I could walk relatively pain free. You can add my knees into that mix, too - sheesh, what a mess~!! Stay cool and get with your Rheumy if the pain is getting too bad. Best of luck to you... Guest guest
Hey doreen, have you tried the sketchers shape ups yet. I wear them and its like walking on air. They have a very thick cushioned sole inside and out. Since wearing them I don't get a lot of pain in my knees, back and feet. They are a little pricey though but worth it. in land [ ] Re: Tops of your feet? Hi OKD - yup, sounds like the good ole' RA has taken on your feet too. Have you had any recent xrays of your feet? Guest guest
I have the same problems similiar to yours, my RA Dr. did x-rays, and I have alot of arthiritis in my feet which has caused calification. I am in chronis pain. and some days worse then others. sent me to a Orthopediac surgeon, I just had $300.00 orthodics made, wearring them for two months, and if things don't get better, will most likely start steriod injections into the area to break down calcification. The Dr said last resort is fusion. which I did not like the sounds of that, it would take me off my foot for 3 months, no weight bearing at all. Mine started over a year ago and steadly got worse. The orthodic do help out alot. Go see your Dr. and tell him whats going on. From: PEG BAUER <shilomaggie@...> Subject: Re: [ ] Tops of your feet? Guest guest
I bought the shape ups because of " plantar faciitis " and they were wonderful. Then my ankles started giving me problems. The pain was terrible. I quit wearing the shapers and my ankles got better. It is bad when you fix one thing and make something else start hurting. Guest guest
When i see commercials for shapeups my first thought is " I bet those would hurt my ankles " I have swelling and pain in them and wearing heavy shoes is out of the question. Having such thick bottoms I imagine they're heavier. It's like my ankles can't handle lifting the weight of heavy shoes. Candace
Guest guest
Hi Candace. I have such issues with my feet also.. I only wear Rebok running shoes, which is the best that Rebok makes. I also bought 2 diff. inserts for them. One is a reg. insert, and the other is soft, like Tempur-Pedic material. Extremely comfortable. If you are near any Rebok outlets, they have great sales. I bought these 2 years ago, they sell for $79.00 a pair, went on sale for $49, and if you bought 2 pairs, you got the 3rd pair free. I paid $98 for all 3 pairs and was so happy about it. The foot Dr. also had me buy a size bigger to accomadate the inserts. I can't wear anything else on my feet, no dress shoes, no sandals etc. I need the support and comfort.  I hope you find the perfect shoe for yourself. It makes a huge difference.  Hugs,  Barbara From: Candace Podratz <candaceandbrock@...> Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Tops of your feet?
