Dear all ACM'ers and Family,

i'm baaaaack!...well i had surgery on the 2nd of NOV and

everything went great(kinda)... i was wheeled into surgery at about

6:30a.m. when they got me in the operating room there were about 20

people in there(3NSG's) man did they all work fast. i made them all

laugh and told them that i left them a post it note on the end they

were suppose to work on...(i said the other end already had a crack

in it and wasn't worth fixin')....then i was out....

WHEN i came round, i felt like i had just been hit by the

entire NFL frontline...OUCH@@%$#^* & (!.... my head was swollen like a

dead carcass on a blacktop in july... they started me off with a self

controlled morphine system and i could give my self a squirt every

six minutes...AHHHHHH...thats stuff is the shiznit....then the next

morning they rolled me outta ICU and into my own room...and F'n took

me off morphine and put me on percocet(crap stuff) ... and i was

still having some really bad headaches.... i told the little PA

that i think that i had a spinal leak(this was friday afternoon)..he

removed the bandage and said .. " no it's just a little blood ooze " ...i

told him i wanted to be back on morphine because the pain was really

intense... " Nope " ......ass.

Saturday morning came after a night of sheer pain that i can't

even explain...my wife arrived and saw what was happening to me and

got the nurse to give me a shot of morphine...she did it and it

didn't work.....so finally after a couple more hours the buttass PA

came in and asked " how was i feeling? " ... I told hime to cram that

chipper bedside manner and get me the NSG to stop my spinal

leak....the PA assured me that it wasn't a spinal leak....i

said " SHUTUP and get the F'n NSG " ... he did...the nsg came in and

removed the bandage and asked me how long had this been going on i

said frday about noon.....The NSG turned beet red ...gave me a local,

sutered me up and put me back on MORPHINE.....yeah!!!!...he also

proceeded to rip the PA a new ass....i could have died in that time

between the leak and him fixing me...

i never saw the PA again. I had a nice stay the rest of the

time. was released on sunday the 5th of Nov. i've been feeling pretty

good since and getting better everyday...the week after surgery i

went to a birthday party for one of my daughters friends at school(at

chucky cheeses) to my suprise i had very little discomfort with the

noise.... i still have my sit in the lazy boy days but for the most

part i'm up and about...piddlin' mostly....it was a great decision to

have the surgery and i'd do it again if i had too...if anyone has any

ACM1 was dianosed in sep 00 with 20mm herniation

when surgery was performed the doc said it was more like 30-

40mm herniation..(by the way my nsg removed my cerebular tonsils and

carterized what was left and pushed the remaing cerabellum back into

it's correct place and used some tissue from the top of my head to

replace the dura and bonded it using a glue made from my

blood)...AMAZING huh!?

surgery cured...

balance...memory...dizzyness...headaches(big

ones)...pain/numbness/stiffness in leg,shoulders,arms,hands,neck,and

back...no brain fog...light/noise sinsitivity,....INSOMNIA IS

GONE!!!....

still have...

small infrequent headaches(i think they are post op

related)...eye twitch...tinitis

not a bad exchange if you ask me!
