allergic reaction to celebrex

I have been taking celebrex on/off for years (more off). took one pill

during lunch today and witin 30 miun. broke out in hives and had

shortness of breath. The doctor's think it may be a reaction to the

medications and have recommended a follow-up with an allergist.

So 2 questions:

1. has anyone had an allergic reaction to celebrex.

2. how will the allergist " test " for an allergic reaction to the

medication -- I have to ingest it, but how will they identify the

allergy?
