20 mg a day of prednisone is a lot for RA unless it's just for a few days.

This worries me a lot. Back in October I was taking 75mg for about a week and

even now all this time later I'm on 40mg a day.

This is really worrying me the more I read about how bad Prednisone is for you.

Try not to worry, Candace.

You shouldn't compare prednisone use in rheumatoid arthritis to

prednisone use in lupus. They are two very different situations.

Generally speaking, while some lupus patients don't need daily

prednisone, others do - and often at much higher doses than are

typically used to treat RA.
