I'm using Chantix and I truly believe it is the reason I'm making it.

Congratulations, ! You can do it, too! Just think how much better

off you'll be, with money to spend rather than burn. Follow your own

advice, and take it one day at a time. Good Luck!

You're email came at just the right time Sue!! I was just thinking about

cheating!!! But nope - hey if has made it this far - I surely can. I've

been a smoker since I was about 16 or 17 and I'm 47 now..............That's

basically 30 yrs - and that's terrible. AND I'm a closet smoker at that! I know

my husband knows I still have snuck them (is snuck a proper word??? better to

say I've been sneaking them for years....).........You guys are the only ones

that know I'm even quiting much less that I have still been smoking until this

morning! Our friend is my new role model. (I know she really loves THAT

peer pressure!)

Please verify this with an expert. I believe chantrix and welbutrim are quite

similar. Welbutrin causes severe projectile vomiting for me. I support not

smoking and understand the difficulties but chantrix is not for everyone.

Hi,

I quit several years ago cold turkey.  I went to Smoking Cessation class.  I

stop for a while then I went back to smoking.  Last year I was sick and I didn't

have to energy to smoke.  I decided to quit.  My Primary Care Physician put me

on Chantix.  It work wonder for me.  I glad I quit smoking.  It cost $6.59 for a

pack of cigarette now.  I learn how much money I had save not smoking.

Chantix isn't for everyone.  I was taking Wellbutrin for depression.  But

that was years ago.

Keep up the good work and I find keeping myself and even my fingers busy.  I

do crocheting, hook rug or something.  I even go on the computer a lot and type

away.  I hope you continue to quit.  Try going to the smoking cessation class as

well taking something like Wellbutrin or Chantix to help you quit.

Congratulations, Christa! It seems that we have quite a few ex-smokers

here. Me, for one.
