Guest guest
I found this study and thought others might want to consider enrolling. The study is trying to find the genes that contribute to the development of rheumatoid arthritis. The center also studies families that have multiple autoimmune diseases like hashimoto's thyroidits, MS, type I diabetes, and lupus. Information is available on their website: www.madgc.org and participation involves a 15 minute phone interview, specific medical records release (not everything, just treatment for autoimmune disorders, for example I'll release my rheumatologist's treatment notes to them and my labs verifying my dx of RA), and a blood sample. I think it's exciting that we could contribute to efforts that may lead to treatment for these disorders. Best, Kate
Guest guest
It says they want families in which four members have four different autoimmune diseases. Am I understanding this correctly?
