I'll tell you some police departments which shall be nameless, yeah they

would have issues determining the differences... it's unfortunate that such a

noble profession has taken such a kick in the A** due to corruption,

downright stupidity, bad training, and the like...

While we are contemplating The Meaning Of Life, for some reason, this

portion of the definition reminded me of a conversation I had with my

husband the police officer on Friday. According to him, when he requested

information on training sessions for police dogs, he received a catalog of

all the training available. Part of the training available is for " cadaver

dogs, " who (that?) are trained to sniff out hidden bodies. " They included

a list of the supplies and equipment the department must furnish, " he said,

" and two items specified are corpses, one not more than three months

deceased and the other one at least six months dead. " Then he turned to

me, and with an inscrutable look on his countenance, he continued, " And the

instructions specify that they must be legally obtained. " Two beats

passed. " These ARE police dogs for police departments they're training. "

Do you suppose that some department somewhere had a problem with

distinguishing the difference? Naaaah--at least I hope not!

Vacation is when the doc is going on vacation (to some exotic place) so you

plan to vacation also (to your backyard). Then he tells you, " Oh did I

mention that I'm WAY behind but I'll catch up before I leave " . So you

cancel your trip to your backyard.
