=== Does anybody else experience really vivid dreams/nightmares in full color

after taking the biologicals? Wow- I have woken up with heart hammering and full

memory of every detail- unusual for me. I am only averaging 2-3 hours sleep per

night now- but I don't have any energy and am tired all of the time. ===

A big 'yes' to that. I have always been a dreamer, but holy cow! When I

started on Enbrel it was incredible. Not only vivid but often of the highly

nightmarish sort, as well. I'd wake up the whole house screaming, and I wasn't

even awake myself.

It has settled down a bit over time. Or maybe it is that recently my rheumy

took me off of methotrexate?? At any rate, not so bad lately.

Deanna...I have the worst nightmares. I remember them and they seem soooo

real. One was a man (?) or thing grabbing me under my arms, and I was

flying backwards thru all the rooms in my house. I felt so vulnerable because

I couldn't do anything. I could feel myself racing thru the rooms

backwards. In another, I was hiding from a robber and I was behind a chair

under

a cover. I could feel someone jabbing at my back with a kitchen knife or

fork. Not stabbing but more like a continuous jabbing. It was scary and I

remember all of them. I had another one but made myself wake up telling

myself I'm not going to let the nightmare get the best of me..that it was just

a nightmare and not real.

I don't know if its the enbrel or other meds. It's a good question to ask

the enliven nurse.

Hugs.and sweet dreams and I mean it. LOL

Do you take antidepressants?

They cause the vivid, real dream state for me.

I have conversations and am not sure if they happened or not.

ie...did I make a date for lunch

or did I dream it?  I need to call the person to verify...embarrassing at

times.

Hi ...I don't take any anti depressants but I do remember one time

that I had taken 1 OTC sleep aid when I had that nightmare...I think it

was melatonin..but the other times, I didn't take anything.

I can relate to what you're saying. I think I did something and wonder if

I need to call to confirm.

Another thing I've noticed, is that when I am laying my head down on the

pillow...and tired, I think of one thing that totally does not make sense and

I know it. Then I try to remember what it was and can't remember.

Maybe its just aging. In my case anyway.

I'm on Cymbalta and talk about crazy, vivid, real seeming dreams! for some

reason mine take place in the past, when all my children were at home (we're

talking 20+ years ago.) and they're just about always scary or menacing. i only

remember bits of them on awakening, which is a blessing.

Hi Janet...I sometimes have those dreams of my daughter being about 11 and

my dad still around. They're not scary though ... just strange that I

wouldn't dream of her at this age that she is now (41)... I would hate the

scary nightmares about my children....that would be awful. Glad you don't

remember them for long.

I have sleepless nights all the time. and some really weird and scary

nightmares. A few weeks ago dreamed that I was covered in magots and woke up

screaming still in dream, went to find my kids and they were covered as well.

The next day, my exhusband and his wife found magots in the backyard of the

house. Strange isn't it.
