Dear Dr. Nace,

I could never thank you enough for all you have done here in our list. I'm so

happy that you called and spoke with Glen about the zinc/dimethicone

compound. The compound was not as smooth as I would have liked and was pretty

white. That's why I only used it at night. It would be great to use it at the

start of the day for skin protection. For now I was just mixing a little extra

noritate with it to make it a little smoother.

I do consider myself a very blessed person for having found Glen . I knew

the first time I spoke with him that he was not like most all the other Doctors

and professionals I've dealt with. He really listened and asked appropriate

questions and called and spoke with my Dermatologist for me. She is going to be

in for a surprise the next time I see her. :-) A good one. My skin is

improving a little each day. The best part is I'm improving and NOT taking steps

backwards as in the past - I was trying to play the hit or miss game using all

kinds of different products. I had no idea what to do, and quite frankly my derm

was not very helpful. I am happy she did prescribe noritate for me. And it

helped a little. But after a point I was not gaining any more ground. No I'm

back to Progress! :-)

sounds like he is a very caring pharmacist. We spent a great deal of time

discussing his compounding experience, credentials and future formulations for

you (as well as anyone else who is interested). He has extensive experience

with compound formulations and he is a member of the Professional Compounding

Association.

base. Over the past three years I have learned a great deal about rosacea skin

sensitivity by interviewing dermatologists and physicians who specialize in the

field of cutaneous irritation and hypersensitivity reactions. Furthermore, over

the past 2 to 3 years, the medical journal, Dermatologic Clinics, has had

numerous discussions ( " Tips by the Experts " and " Special Compound

Formulations " )on creative topical treatment of rosacea-sensitive skin. They

often stress that it is important to start off with the normal oral antibiotic,

topical anti-inflammatory routine because many patients (30-40%) respond

beautifully to this traditional approach. But, they also state that there are a

fair number of patients that do not respond to this first tier approach -- then

they become creative with their topical preparations and often are very

successful.

contacting several laboratories that specialize in the dimethicone-zinc

encapsulation procedure. You see, by just mixing zinc and dimethicone together,

one will not attain the most user friendly creme/lotion. So, this is exciting

news. As I mentioned above, I also sent him some information that should be

useful for your next compound (if you still want to pursue this avenue). Give

him a call next week to see what he thinks.

Thank you .

protects us from the sun, wind, cold and soothes and mositurizes our face.
