Widespread Bursitis / Unidentified Bone Scan Spot

Hi All

Just wondering if anyone has ever had widespread bursitis? My Rheumy thought it

was my tendons but ultrasounds showed inflammed and fluid filled bursa instead

which are very painful and getting worse over time. Cortisone injections would

be fine if it were just one or two but it's multiple regions - shoulders,

elbows, knees, hips, wrists, ankles as well as ils (lower back/bottom).

The strange thing is I had a total body bone scan yesterday which showed no

inflammation process in my joints, only degenerative arthritis pattern so

theorectically my RA should be under control - or does it show like that if the

margins are already erroded and it's secondary damage? I have secondary damage

shown on my xrays.

I could understand if I were still exercising that some the bursitis could be

from that but I can't exercise because i've been too tired and in too much pain

to do anything anyway - and for it to be throughout my body surely is unusual if

it were from repetition?

I also had unidentified increased uptake spot in my distal (lower) - (about 3/4

way down) femur which I have to have further investigated - I don't even have

any pain there - anyone else have something weird / benign like this show up in

a bone scan?

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
