Guest guest
Hi Jill, Thanks for the info on bhb readings. I willalso do the comparative readings the next time we have lab work done. I also interested in any comments re carnitine. I have actually posted a similar query before but still did not get a clear answer. On the last visit to the neuro i quizzed her along the same line and all she could tell me was that the 'free' carnitine was what was available to the body to utilize and the total included what was bound up.......still not completely clear!.....apparently it is the 'free' level that is the important one. I have just increased Leahs carnitine dose as her recent level came back as Total(35-60umol/L......70 Free(30-60) umol/L.....27 I am wondering whether this may help her sz control, as i have looked back over her results over the last 2.5 yrs and she had her best sz control in the first year of the diet when we first started supplementing with carnitine after finding her intial test 4 months into the diet at a level of just 16 (free) hope this helps, cheers, Jeanette >Hi >I received 's carnitine results today: > >Free carnitine 19 (30-60 umol/L) >Total carnitine 43 (35-65 umol/L) > >It appears that her free carnitine is quite low, but the total carnitine is >okay. Could anyone explaint the implications of this to me. > >Many thanks >Jill > _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
