( The jars, not the opener- LOL ) Do any of you know a GOOD one that won't go feet up after 20 jars? Thanks-- Chris

Guest guest
I have the Black & Decker® Home Lids Off, I have had it for about 3 years - still working with not problems. I love this - it really has made my kitchen time easier. Guest guest
I've had my Black and Decker jar opener for a few years, and it works great. I don't even try to open a jar without it anymore Diane - in NJ ~0) (my never ending cup of coffee, lol)

My husband got me one that the band is a rubber material and adjusts to different sizes. It is meant for oil and air filters but I can pull it snug against any jar lid and can pull it open. It works fabulously. Dalanne Balmy but clear East Central Illinois

Guest guest
Hey Chris- I found something very much like the filter wrench I mentioned earlier. It is on eBay and is called a " Power Grip " . It is listed under the Home & Garden category and comes in a pack of 2. A package of 2 is less that $15 including shipping. I'm going to be getting myself a couple of these sets as backups for my filter wrench. Knowing my son? When he figures out what it really is he will take it out to change the oil in my truck. Anyway, I ran across these while I was looking for another filter wrench like the one I have and thought these would be a good substitute. Guest guest
Dalanne- thanks! I'll give it a whirl & see if it works for me. I have become rather inventive as this has gotten worse over time. I had to tighten a cheese press and simply couldn't. So, I called the dog over & snapped on his leash. I put the handle part over the handle of the screw tightener and tossed his ball across the room- Viola! Lest anyone think that he choked at all- he didn't. I angled it so the leash would slip off as soon as it tightened. Mission accomplished. I did have to have him break it loose for me again when it had to come back off. Too darn bad that he doesn't have opposable thumbs so he can just open the jars for me too! LOL. Or make cheese for me when I am tired.... Thanks again. Much appreciated-- in SC Hey Chris- I found something very much like the filter wrench I mentioned earlier. It is on eBay and is called a " Power Grip " .
