OK! I'm back from my trip to Tribest. Here's the scoop. There are three

settings on the Soyabella. Only two of which are heated. If you use the

heated setting the temperature reaches boiling and will kill the germ.

However, you can make your nut milks without heating. I asked about nut

butter and they didn't know but will run a test next week when they have

more time and e-mail me the results. Which I will forward to you loyal

sprouters. In the mean time go to their web site and check out all the

goodies. Look at the books they have. If you see something you like, see

if your local public library has it.

This is my helpful friend Mia's e-mail. She is willing to help you and

answer your questions: mia.lunasco@.... If you call 888-254-7336

ext 104, you can talk to her direct. Don't forget to say 'hi' for me. PS,

she knows me as Ernie.

Hey Ernest~ I just went back over to the site, and noticed that it

makes

sesame paste too, which for me is *totally awesome*. Would you mind

asking

them if it makes nut-butter, while you are over there seeing the

demo? I'd

really love being able to make batches of tahini (sesame paste) and

other

seed & nut-butters larger than what my coffee grinder will do!

My blender won't do it, and I cracked the spindle on a food processor

doing

it, years ago!

:~)

Welcome to the group . You may want to describe to the group

your injuries like you did to me in your application. Have you

received any help from the other drivers insurance or yours? Have any

operations or procedures been suggested to you? Even though you are

very young if you are truly unable to work have you considered SSDI?

It would be very tough to get at your age, but if you have the

medical records to back it up, you may stand a chance with a good

lawyer. And you can get a SSDI lawyer who will work for free, they

don't get paid unless you win your case. Dave

I have bulged and herniated disk from c1 to t12. it was a hit and run

so i couldn't go after him and my insurance company didn't have to pay

after 6 mos because the dr. told them i wont get any better and i wont

get any worse. as far as ssi and ssd is concerned i have a hearing on

march 27. if anyone has been through this let me know. worried that

they are not going to give ssi. and my lawyer sucks

you will most likely be turned down because your so young. They

always deny on the first try. Get a lawyer who specializes in

SSDI. I used the ones who advertise on TV, Binder & Binder. I had to

stay on top of them, but in the end they sent a great lawyer to

represent me at my hearing and I won on appeal. They cost me nothing

up front. Their fees are capped by the SSDI rules. They get a max of

about $4500. It took me 2.5 years to win from the time I filed. I

got a back due amount of about $21K and I cleared around $16.5K plus

then monthly payments. Now the big thing is how much you have paid

into SSI by working. If this happened at age 19, you can't have paid

in too much over your young life. But you are due some help if you

can't work. Do you not trust you current lawyer? You need as much

medical history information to back up your claims. That's what wins

cases. Dave

thank you!! No they didnt get him. he told the police that he left his

keys in the truck and the doors unlocked and when he got up to go to

work the car was gone but didnt report the car stolen until after the

police officer talked to him about hitting me. I don't have a lot of

medical support because no one wants to treat someone when they have

no money, no job and can't get one. but i have lots of friends and

family that are writing letters or coming to my hearing with me. Maybe

they can make up for the doctors not willing to help and support me.

IF THEY WONT GIVE ME SSI THIS HEARING THEN I WILL KEEP APPEALING UNTIL

THE GET TIRED OF ME AND JUST GIVE IT TO ME. I have been fighting for

over three years

SSI is a bit tougher than SSDI because you can not have any assets to

qualify..

I am so sorry about your back but I imagine you hear that a lot and it does

not help..

The group has helped me and I hope you get some relief here..

I hate the saying " misery loves company " but at least here you will find

people on this site that have a similar issue as your own..

But to be as young as you are is a really bitter pill, I hope that maybe the

medical realm will someday be able to help you beyond just giving you pain

pills.

Also, I would make sure you have a torough understanding of what your lawyer

will charge. Although they may say you will not be charged unless they/you

win, sometimes they do hold you responsible for what they call incidental

expenses. For instance, gathering information or phone calls on your behalf..

Good luck

No Doubt! I used to be a member of that group but after my back messed up it

seemed I couldn't keep up! ROFL

I just try to live day by day and if it is a (good one)try to get a couple

things done.

Funny as it sounds, Everytime I go to the doctor lately they find something

esle wrong. Guess i am a magnet for it! But with that said I try my best to live

with a smile instead of a frown. Hard as it is somedays, I still try to manage a

giggle or two.

Had a Appointment with a ortho dr. Recently and now this is a quote

DOCTOR, " Which problem would you like fixed? "

ME, " All of them! " ((DDDDDDAAAAAA)

DOCTOR, " Well maybe if I had a genie lamp you might get three wishes (3

Problems) But I am a doctor so you have to settle with one "

That is about how the whole visit went. He did tell me he could go in basically

and remove the facet joint bone that is completely broke and shave the bone area

and clean out that area around my nerve that is giving me fits...

He told me that 8 CC is to small of a movement at this point to mess with the

spondy....

The two discs that are bone on bone will require a fusin but that is something I

am too scared to do...

So there ya go...

Broke up me, trying to be normal.

Hopoe you have a great day and thanks for replying

Hi, my name is Phyllis and I just joined today. I've been diagnosed since

2003. Of course I suspect I've had RA longer. I'm sero negative so my RA

was discovered through surgery to remove Rheumatoid nodules. I have this in

pretty much all the joints. My knee is osteoarthritis. I have little use

of my left thumb. The doctor suggests joint replacement. I read about

having leg cramps. I also take magnesium daily and it does help the

stop the cramps. I've been taking it for 16 years now.

I started with sulfasalazine and mobic, separately. Of course neither

worked and I began using mtx and folic acid. I switched doctors and he

included mobic to the mix. I take 6 pills per week. 15mg. I usually take

them before bed to sleep off any side effects. It seems to help.

I've had throat problems that I always suspected was from the RA. Recently

a friend sent me a link that mentions Cricoarytenoid arthritis. I'm going

to ask my doctor about this when I see him in two weeks.

That's the short of it.

Phyllis
