Guest guest
Dear RA-Support members, Please remember that advice received at RA-Support should never be acted upon without consulting your physician. For those who wish to give advice, please be careful. Members should not give specific medical advice (e.g., " don't take MTX " or " increase your prednisone to 10mg " - these are unacceptable). It's better to share your strategies for coping or to mention your personal experiences with certain treatments. Sending an article from a reputable source (and please include the link) is acceptable and welcome. I remind all group members that, at RA-Support, the main focus of discussion is rheumatoid arthritis and evidence-based medicine. As of 2010, there is overwhelming evidence that early and aggressive treatment of rheumatoid arthritis with disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) leads to better outcomes.
