Guest guest
My foot pain is similar to Donna's - especially in my right foot. The side of my right foot, the top of my right foot, my big toe get really really achy and very painful - at times it is so bad that at night just the weight of the sheet is too much. I also have been diagnosed with gout which is in my big toe. Achy and burning and just very very painful. And what helps, well, hmmmm, sometimes if I use an ice pack it helps in the evening, and also elevating it in the evening. The doctor told me to use Advil (or generic ibuprofen) for the gout in the am and the pm but all that seems to do is waste money:) He also gave me a pain medication prescription that I do use when I'm having a flare-up, and it makes such a difference. I agree with those who said that prescriptions can make a very positive difference!!! Also, re the weight gain on prednisone, well, yes - and I get bizarre food cravings with it (pickle and peanut butter sandwiches!).
