Before I was diagnosed with Fibro and RA I was on Cymbalta for depression.

IT worked very well but the first week or so I got a really restless,

unpleasant feeling in my legs, sort of a jumpy feeling, hard to explain,

sort of like Restless Leg Syndrome. After a week that went away and I never

had any side effects after that. I was on it for four years and never had

any problems, but then it started to work less and less well and I went on

Wellbutrin instead. I was diagnosed with the RA and Fibro about six months

after stopping the Cymbalta. I can't really say if it helps fibro pain, but

I did not have problems with blood pressure or headaches. If you are on

Cymbalta you can't take Ibuprofin Aleve, Naproxen or any NSAIDS because it

can cause bleeding risks. I take Naproxen now for pain and I'm glad I can

take it, as I couldn't on Cymbalta. (I had problems with my back for the

past five years, had that pain before the RA and Fibro) I had no problems

over the four years I was on it, though.

Good luck.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you very much for the insight on Cymbalta. Gosh, no NSAIDS? Well, I

suppose it's serving two purposes. Pain relief and combating depression. I'm

hoping it works for both. Now, I don't feel so bad taking it. I already have

hypertension so perhaps I should keep track of that. Thanks again to you all.
