Guest guest
Crystal, If someone had the cure - we would ALL jump on it!!! No one wants to be sick especially with this debilitating disease which is unpredictable! If someone wants to offer their services then STATE that, don't put up this " front " to offer free information only with others' pocket books the bottom line! The resistance is coming from a wolf in sheep's clothing! We are not stupid at this forum, and yes, some are desperate. Everyone is different and as we have seen some diets work for some and not for others. But nonetheless, we don't need more empty promises attached with a price tag! Roe I don't think anyone here is waiting for someone to swoop in and save us with *THE CURE*. I'm pretty sure that is not the way you've intended to come across, but your approach, and even the language used, does convey that to some extent. As I said in my post addressed to Roe, we can accomplish so much more in reaching others when we accept and understand that *our* way is not the only way. Guest guest
> > Crystal, > > If someone had the cure - we would ALL jump on it!!! Really? Even if it was a drug offered by western medicine? Not I, but I guess I'm a diehard. I truly believe in " first, do no harm " and I don't know many in western medicine who truly understand that. That's why I had a completely unassisted pregnancy with my second, even the midwives I used with my first were too much of interventionists for me. lol When the neurologist tried to push the drugs on me for the 3rd time by saying that there is some value to them, I replied that I believed there was more value in the things I'm doing. > If someone wants to offer their services then STATE > that, don't put up this " front " to offer free information only with > others' pocket books the bottom line! I totally agree, but what I was trying to say is that I didn't get the feeling that was doing that on purpose like others that I've seen. I sensed that she felt she was being misunderstood and therefore kept repeating that she was offering services for free, but that that was her intention all along. Also, have to say that I do have sympathy for those in holistic/alternative healing who are trying to make their passion become their life's work as well. Intentions are good, and they can reach a lot more people when they don't have to work another full-time job to pay the bills too. But it can change people who really mean well too - I've seen many practitioners (through the newsletter I used to publish) who won't network or refer clients to different services b/c they are afraid of losing business. And that's really sad, b/c it's the client who suffers when their acupuncturist or chiropractor or naturopath never says " hey, you might benefit from cranio-sacral therapy " or " have you ever tried reiki? " . Crystal
