Guest guest
Again - Wow Kate! That is so inspiring! I know when I first started IE I too wanted to know - does it work and how long does it take? Its great to read about long term IE practice and especially that if can become 'intuitive' in time too. Thanks for posting about your experience and success too. I would have to say I am not always successful but I have lost 35 lbs and still seem to be (mostly) heading downwards.I don't know that I have any secrets other than to tell those of you that are newer at it that it took close to a year of doing this before the weight loss started to kick in. I have lost most of it over just the last year or so. I am about half way there - whatever "there" is! :)I eat small meals (usually about 5 a day) and do consciously make healthier choices. It took a while before I realized that I could think about making healthy choices without thinking I had just transfered from one food obsession to another. The only meal that looks much like my former definition of a meal is breakfast - the rest are things like a cup of plain greek yogurt with some fruit and a little granola or a cup of soup or a caprese salad. I do not cook much except on weekends. After all this time it is starting - just starting mind you - to become my new normal. When I eat something that is sweet or fatty I am often satisfied with just a bite. I splurge now and again but no longer beat myself up over it - that alone is huge.Mostly - I just wanted to say "thank you" for all the ideas and support you have all given me without knowing that you were. All the best,Kate Windows Live Hotmail now works up to 70% faster. Guest guest
Wow Kate! That is great! It was encouraging to hear your story and good to hear that you stuck to it for a year and then began to lose weight. It gives me inspiration to push through! xoxo, R > > Hello! > My name is Kate and I have been a member for about 2 years but have > never posted.
