Have you considered a pain management doctor?

I have found that rheumatologists are trained mostly to reduce the symptoms you

are having, not the pain. They leave pain meds to family doctors or pain

management doctors. Based on my experience, I would say if you need something

stronger than Vicodin, you need to be seeing a doctor that specializes in pain

management. I went through PM before I had my back surgery in 2003 and was

prescribed Kadian, which is synthetic morphine. Oh by golly did it ever work,

hallucinations and all! LOL

Good luck. Pain sucks. So do doctors that do not know how to treat it!

I see T-shirt possibilities in your last paragraph, Kami.

Not an MD
