It helped, but wasn't a miracle. I've been on over 2 years. It still seems to have the same effectiveness with me as it did in the beginning - which isn't a whole lot. Guest guest
I've been using Enbrel for over 2 years with no loss of effectiveness, knock wood. I use the big fat dull needles that are supplied with the rx. I also take a small weekly dosage of Methotrexate. happy trails - Rob Glover > > >please, enjoy the effects of the Enbrel now, it looks to me like it > >will probably last for most of us for a >year or two, then lose > >effectiveness! > > I'm curious, For those of you who've been on enbrel for > over a year, > has it lost effectiveness? > -- > Boice > Health Education & Promotion > University of California, > Phone: (530) 752-6336 > E-mail: keboice@... > http://healthcenter.ucdavis.edu
Guest guest
Hi , I'm afraid that I can't be much help. Methotrexate caused my white blood cell count to get too low, and Arava just continued the decline. I was then put on Enbrel, but it seemed to work well for me very quickly. I've been on it since March of 2003 with continuing good results. We're all different in the way we react to various drugs. There are plenty of other biologic drugs that your rheumy can try if Enbrel is not working for you. Often when one biologic fails, another one will succeed. I wish you luck. Inform your rheumy about what is going on. Sue On Oct 17, 2010, at 12:14 AM, ktandtm wrote: > Hi I haven't posted in a while but had a question. I started enbrel > 4 weeks ago. Guest guest
Hi ~ I've been on MTX for over 2 years now & I have no problem with it, along with Humira. Maybe the dose was to high for you to tolerate. I have no pain at all....just stiffness. I wish you luck. Pat > > Hi I haven't posted in a while but had a question. I started enbrel 4 weeks ago. Guest guest
Pat, I couldn't tolerate methotrexate at even 2 pills. We tried it. LOL Oh well. > > > > Hi I haven't posted in a while but had a question. I started enbrel 4 weeks ago. It was wonderful the first 2 weeks. Week 3 the pain started getting worse and now I just took my 4th shot yesterday and my hands, wrists, elbows and knees are back to the severe pain.
