Guest guest
Ok Ok I can't stand it any more. ROFLLL here in the Great Pacific Northwest we eat grits any ole way we can get them! Red eye gravy? Ohhhhh yeah but ya never had grits until you eat them the way my husband asks for them. Butter under two eggs over easy on top and maple syrup!!!! I eat oatmeal! ROFLLLL Your compatriot in Spokane WA US Sandy G. Dr. Welker - Oregon Pre-op Don't forget the free WLS chatroom at http://sandymall.com Re: Re: Grits Yes Lori, Y'all can buy instant grits right next to the pancake mix at any self respecting grocery in the south. If you are really desperate, I'll send you a package. They have no nutritional value, so they are a terrific comfort food. I heard a terrible rumor about some YANKEES who eat grits with milk and sugar like oatmeal, but that is against the law in Georgia. In fact it might be a capital offense. You eat grits with butter or " red-eye gravy " , which you make by pouring coffee in the pan the you fried your country ham in. mix the coffee with all that grease and little bits of burnt ham and pour it on your grits. What? you say you've never had country ham??? Thats a whole 'nother story. So salty that you shrivel up. You have to soak it for 2 or 3 days in water to remove enough salt to make it edible.!!! I'll be happy to send emergency packages of instant grits to anyone in need. I'll omit the red eye gravy. W - former yankee if you can believe it! _________________________________________________________
