Guest guest
Randy, there are several of us who are Enbrel " junkies " . I love, love, love Enbrel. It started working for me within a week and I stayed on it through pregnancy and nursing. For some reason, it's the perfect match for my type of RA and as long as I stay on it my rheumatologist said she'd never know I had RA. My exam is normal, labs are normal, I'm not tired, I'm not stiff ... not everyone has such a terrific result (my crackpot theory is that there are probably several diseases that fall under the RA umbrella) but for those of us who respond to it, it truly is a gamechanger. About 6 weeks into taking it, I started getting big hives at the injection site. I treated them with tagamet during the day and benadryl at night. The good news is that they didn't last and now I just get a red spot. Kate F ________________________________ From: " rjgang10@... I think its helping me but I'm not sure yet. Has anyone had any luck with Enbrel? Are there any side effects that I should be aware of? I so look forward to pain free days if that is even possible, I get so tired of the unpredictability of whether or not I will have a flare up or how much pain and stiffness I will have. I'm tired of being afraid to make plans. I have hope now but I'm afraid of the possible side effects. .....Randy.... Guest guest
Randy, I'm one of those Enbrel " junkies, " too. I always say they'll have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands. It works wonderfully well for me, and I can hardly even tell that I have RA. If it does cause side effects, you can always switch to something else, but it's been a miracle drug for me. Good luck?
