Guest guest
Hi Randy...I've been on enbrel (for the 2nd time..the first time I took myself off because of mouth sores but found out that enbrel wasn't the med that caused them....so wanted to go back on)... I've been on it, the second time, since 2005. Its wonderful...i was even going to put up with the mouth sores..that's how well it made me feel. It's really been a Godsend for me. I began to feel good after one day of taking it. It always worked that fast for me. There is sometimes a site injection redness or lump but that goes away. It never bothered me. I could put up with about anything to feel human again. If its worrisome, you can always take benadryl before your injection....ask your dr. I take the 25 mg twice a week..self mix. I like that better. I'm sure that if you're feeling better, its the enbrel. I only take enb rel, 5 mg prednisone, and folic acid now. darvocet for break thru pain. Side effects are usually just the itching where the site injection is. sometimes you can get a headache. But those come and go. I think it would be super to make plans. a friend of mine just went on the enbrel, felt it the very next day. Good luck...I love love love it. Hugs..a Ohio e said that I have an aggressive form of RA and added Enbrel to my regimen,(mtx, plaquenil, folic acid, prednisone and Prilosec), I just took my third dose yesterday. I think its helping me but I'm not sure yet. Has anyone had any luck with Enbrel? Are there any side effects that I should be aware of? I so look forward to pain free days if that is even possible, I get so tired of the unpredictability of whether or not I will have a flare up or how much pain and stiffness I will have. I'm tired of being afraid to make plans. I have hope now but I'm afraid of the possible side effects. .....Randy....
