Dear Maureen,

I'm so glad to hear that you have found out what the problem is with

your surgery and that you will be able to have it fixed to your

Maureen,

At least you now KNOW what's going on. When my SLD was diagnosed, I wanted

to be happy (at least I knew), cry, and be sick all at the same time. The

fear that something would interfere with the repair was what bothered me, of

course. And the acid was about to eat me alive! I'd always had gastric

problems pre-op, so all of a sudden they were BACK! And I was NOT looking

forward to a life of pain.

However, since my revision, I am fine, the excess wt fell right off & there

is no more discomfort. YIPEEE!

Thanks,

Ask your doctor to transect the stomach also. I

understand from my doctor that it reduces the chance

of staple line breakdown.

Peace,

A
