Guest guest
I took on the director role at the private school I teach at about 6 months ago. I work for an employer who is less than supportive of any ill employees, let alone ones who suddenly become 'disabled'. Anyway, my RA has been bad since I am between medications. I can't take a new DMARD until October. I have missed five days in two weeks due to flaring. I have worked from home, but she doesn't pay for this--only time that you punch in! Although I am salaried, she sends emails to the entire campus saying she doesn't care if you are salaried, if you don't clock in 40 hours you will not be paid. I am full time, but have not been offered benefits yet (I am on my husband's insurance). How do I communicate my disability needs to this crazy woman without her firing me? I need to try to stay in this job at least through October so we are caught up on bills from my hubby's unemployment spell. What are my rights under the disability act? I have been at this company for a year. Six months as an instructor and now full time as the director. I am in TN. Thanks,
