Hi ,

Yes....yes..yes.. I took it today for the first time (reluctantly!)

I read about so many side effects. The does is 5mgs...but I take two

pills in the morning..so that would be 10mgs a day.

I hear it works fast. I don't know if it is in my head...but my hands

already feel better and the searing hip bursitis pain is going away.

I DO FEEL HYPER... AND.. it is almost midnight. OH MY!!!

I see the doctor Monday to see if it made an improvement. I will see

what happens in a couple of days and keep you posted.

Can you believe the medicine I most dreaded may work!!!!!!

I think if I could take it only as needed I would not worry so much.

If I wean off and in a few months have a flare and then take it again

for abit and wean off again it may not be bad.

I was reading something tonight about prednisone and fibro. As usual

it is all over the board. One article says it doesn little if nothing

for fibro...and another says it helps greatly with the inflamation

which causes pain.

One thing for sure...I will be weighing myself twice a day...(big

smile on my face.
