....yes, I know the drs sometimes can treat medicaid patients differently.

I am on medicaid also. So..yes, I can relate. Tell your daughter not to

let them give her any guff. I have had to do that myself many times. I hope

he can pass the stone and no surgery is needed.

Lots of hugs and prayers.

a

hey yall- i know we have a lot of pray-ers here in the RA family.

my grandson Mick is nine years old and has a 6mm kidneystone. he's been

taken to ER twice almost out of his mind with pain. They were supposed to refer

him to a urologist on Monday. My daughter finally had to go postal on her

primary doc's office staff yesterday after his second trip to ER. (I could

literally hear him screaming in the background while I talked to his mom.)

They discovered that their insurance person had never contacted the urologist.

He's on medicaid and we know how some doctor's offices treat medicaid

patients, don't we. Long story short, he is at the hospital about to have that

laser or ultrasound or whatever to try and break up the kidney stone. Please be

praying that works, or they will have to send him to Children's in Dallas

for surgery since the kidneystone is way too big for him to pass. It's very

rare for a kid his age to have this happen, but he takes after his mama and

she is prone to them. He's Nana's boy and this has been so hard on him.

Will let you know how things go on.

Thanks,

JaneĀ
