Guest guest
Hi .     I hope you can get some new meds. to help with your pain and suffering. Like you, I hate to add another pill, but when we need to get out of pain, I gladly will do it.    It is good you took the time to write to us and vent yourself. That must have taken some stress of it all off your shoulders. We can truly be outselves here, and I am happy we have that outlet. Everyone here knows exactly what you are feeling and what you are dealing with on a daily basis. I sure hope you find some good RX that will help you. Having daily pain is the worst, and makes our lives so difficult. It does help to share your thoughts and feelings with us. One thing about our group, everyone really cares. I thank God that I found it, and that everyone here is so nice and kind.      Wishing you pain free days ahead, and that you will feel better soon. Hugs,  Barbara
Guest guest
Hello; Thanks for writing back. I talked to my dr about my shoulder and had him look at it. He started to move my arm around, put it in about 3 places, does this hurt, this, this, no it didn't, then he just got to a slightly different spot and wow did that hurt. He said he thinks it is a muscle impingement, but said you never know for sure what is going on without surgery or a MRI. He said that we can try an injection, PT, or meds and if it doesn't improve then we will do a MRI. I decided to try PT and see how it goes. He said that it should get significantly better in 6 weeks with PT, but is likely to always be an ongoing problem to some extent. I have a PT appointment in a week. He said there isn't much that helps with the stiffness in the morning, only stuff that would help with pain. I decide to wait and see how this shoulder thing comes out before I decide on changing meds around. I think if I can get into the habit of getting up and taking my AM pills 1 hour before I actually get up for the day that the morning will be much easier on me. I'm a bit bummed out that he said that this shoulder condition, while it should get better with treatment is likely a chronic condition that I will always have to live with to some extent. Though it is good to know that the pain can be managed. Thanks, > Â Â Â Â Â Wishing you pain free days ahead, and that you will feel better soon. > Hugs, > > Barbara
Guest guest
,  I have found that soaking in a hot tub or even a hot shower really helps me get going in the morning.   My husband really laughs at me when it is the the mid 90's or more as it has been this summer and I'm sitting in the hot tub with sweat pouring but it really does help. Many mornings I do that 1st thing esp as the weather gets cooler, If i don't have time for a soak then a good hot shower.  With my shoulder while in the hot water I try to do some limited range of motion exercises and limber up so much quicker when things are warm.hope you get to moving better. linda From: Dolan <jamiedolan@...> Subject: Re: [ ] What Next - Joint Problems Date: Thursday, September 2, 2010, 9:27 PM  Hello; Thanks for writing back. Guest guest
I do the same thing. The day it was 107 degrees i came home from work and crawled into the hottest bubble bath that my water heater would produce. I don't know what I would do without hot water. This morning I just leaned against the shower stall and let the hot water hit my back. It sure helped! > > From: Dolan <jamiedolan@...> > Subject: Re: [ ] What Next - Joint Problems > > Date: Thursday, September 2, 2010, 9:27 PM > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > Hello; > > > > Thanks for writing back. Guest guest
Thanks everyone for the support. I'll give the hot bath a try first thing in the morning and see if that helps me get moving. I'll let you know how PT goes after my appointment next week. Thanks,
