Guest guest
Has surgery helped those with neurally mediated hypotension (if I spelled all that correctly)? Thanks,
Guest guest
Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Surgery helped my NMH! I had blood pressure readings taken post-op laying, sitting and standing and they were all normal. My ususal daily feelings of lightheadedness, near fainting episodes and numbness/tingling in my arms and legs (which can be attributed o NMH) are gone as well. My pre-op cardiac tilt table test was " high positive " due to my blood pressure dropping to 50/20 with an episode of tachycardia in the first minutes of the test with no stimulant injection. I was told by the cardiologist administering the test that I was a " classic " case of NMH, and that surgery would most definetly help me! He has seen numerous patients come back 6 months post-op to repeat the TTT and they have a " negative " test for NMH! There are a lot of studies about NMH and cervical stenosis/chiari/hindbrain compression. I believe I have some links to these studies on my website.
