Hi Pam. Welcome I too am from Florida. Tomorrow I have an MRI b/c I have RA

symptoms but only my creactive protein level elevated.  Anyway my husband is

much the same way as yours. Sad really.  Kate

Hello,

I am so pleased to have found this group. I was diagnosed with RA in 2007 after

being on Arimidex (breast cancer drug) for six months. My rheumatologist says

that this drug tends to cause the onset of RA in people with a tendency towards

it. I wish I had know this in advance as I never would have taken this drug.

I also have osteoarthritis in my feet which has made walking very painful.

Right now my RA is kept under pretty good control with plaquenil and with

tramadol and celebrex for pain relief. I spend my time being a homemaker, mother

to a wonderful 10 year old DD. I hope to return to teaching part time this year.

Unfortunately, my husband is one of those irritating people. He doesn't get it

and keeps asking when I will be cured. No amount of explaining seems to get

through to him. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on his part.

Pam

Kate and Pam, where are you in Florida?  I live in South West Florida, between

Sarasota and Ft. Myers  on the Gulf.

Hugs,

Barbara

Hi Pam.

Welcome to our group.

I am sorry you are suffering with your feet being so painful..My feet and ankles

were struck the worst with RA.  My Rheumy just told me I have Neuropathy on the

bottom of both feet.  They are very painful.  I just started a new RX and for

4 days I felt better.  I woke up this morning and when I put my feet on the

floor, the horrible pain was back.  So tonight, I will take 2 pills instead of

one. I am hopeful that eventually whatever dose I need will work good for me.

My feet hurt so bad that I can hardly walk on them or stand on them.

I hope you find somthing that helps your foot pain.  I know it is miserable

having your feet hurting so much.

Wishing you many pain free days ahead.

Hugs,

Barbara
