Guest guest
Dear List Members, It was mentioned in a post that we as members send in $1 per month for a fund for members in need. WACMA is not a non profit organization and we don't have plans of becoming non profit in the future. ASAP is a non profit organization. If ASAP was willing to take on the responsibility of setting up a fund for those in need, you could mention through the WACMA support group, that this fund is available.. Those in need would know where to go for assistance and those willing to donate money would know where to send it. In the past members have complained when requests for money have gone through the list. They are unable to meet their own bills and feel guilty that they can't send money. I have tried to tell them that their thoughts and prayers were enough and to not feel guilty. But, the guilt continues. Please try to keep mail down to a minimum when asking for donations. Maybe one person could be the contact person and they could post to the list the details. I am very happy that WACMA has rallied to help Sionnan and her family. That once again proves that we are a very understanding and caring group. Kathleen WACMA list manager
