Hi Everyone, can someone help me identify this?

It looks like the colored sprinkles that you see on cupcakes except it is

white, and very small. It seems to be solid and not a wax. I thought it was

E-Wax and used it in a face cream. WRONG.

It is still in the original mailing package that it came in but the person I

bought it from said if it was from her it would be labeled and this has no

label. (could have fallen off, but " stuff " is still in the original package).>

Hi It " sounds like " citric acid? Try putting a 1/2 tsp. in some

warm water and see if it fizzes. Take care,

Actually, plain citric acid won't fizz. Take a look at Kool Aide, which has

citric acid in it. When you mix it with water, it doesn't fizz. You need to

add baking soda to it to make it fizz, and that's why all bath fizzies have

both citric acid and baking soda in them.

Dear Colin,

I think the answer to the mystery question is money.

Vested interests control the media, planting the stories they

want the public to be influenced by, and suppressing the

stories they want to keep hidden.

What would happen if the truth leaked onto the front pages of the nation?

" 8,000 PEOPLE SLAUGHTERED BY ASPIRIN LAST YEAR "

There would be rioting in the streets.

And, worse for them, all the little old ladies would stop taking their

one-a-day aspirin and Bayer (formerly I.G. Farben) profits would go in the

toilet.

That's actually where their products should go, too.

Best of health!

Hi Saul,

I concur with your take on Tim's post and am reminded of the oft repeated

pattern that goes as follows:

One naturopath loses a patient due to vaguely defined complications.

Immediately, newsaper headlines appear lambasting the poor guy/gal and

raising all kinds of alarms about quack medicine. Meanwhile, as you pointed

out in another post, well over a hundred thousand people die every year in

the US alone from improperly prescribed and managed prescription medicines

and there are no headlines at all; no imputations of quack medicine

whatsoever. Ain't that just a mystery?

best,

Colin Yardley

Hi ,

What do you mean by " old " ? Are we talking 1970s-1980s old? Or

1920s-1930s old? (Okay -- so I haven't done my research to see how

long IFF and Sindar have been around.) Anyway, I'd be a little leery

of using them in something that you want to be certain is 100%

natural. But for enjoying the scent, it sounds like an interesting

find. Are the stoppers all cork, or are they glass with cork over the

part that goes into the bottle opening? Can you post a photo of the

bottles in the Photos section here so we can see the bottles? That

might provide a clue about the age. You might also be able to learn

what else could be in them by contacting IFF and Sindar...

Cheers!

Andrine

Hi Andrine!

It occurred to me to contact the companies and I may just do that!

The stoppers are all cork. The Rose oil was still sealed with a hard

plastic wrap although liquid level down a bit I assume due to

evaporation. A date in glass indicates 1961 on one of the bottle's

bottoms. Post photos? I wouldn't know where to begin...

Thanks for your response. I will enjoy the loverly Rose and old

bottles for posterity and not include it in my perfumes or body

butters. For the price, I may go back and purchase more of the old

bottles just because.

Peace,

Hi DD,

I was on ARAVA & also lost my hair almost to where I could see my scalp. I was

furious because it did noting to my RA. My swelling was the same & I was in

pain. After speaking with my RA he decided to take me off ARAVA & we made a BID

decision to start Rituxan infusions. I have been on my two treatments since

9/11/09. I noticed that the 1st day I am so fatigue & kinds of out of it. The

2nd day is a little better. The 3rd day I have terrible headaches & finally on

the 4th day beside everything I feel I get nauseiated. I have notice that now I

feel aches where I didn't feel before? I am very fatigue & I have more stiffness

in my hands & feet? I have my appointment with my RA on 9/24/09 & I will discuss

with him why this is happening. Is the norm when taking Rituxan.

Hi Mousie: I feel badly that you are feeling so nauseated, in bad pain, and

being so very tired..I don't know anything about Avara or the side effects..

I am glad you will be seeing your Rheumy soon.  I hope in the meantime that

things settle down for you, and you start to be better.

Trying to find the right " cocktail " of meds. to help us with our RA and

pain, takes time to find.  I have had RA for 6 + years, and finally found mine.

I am very thankful for that.  I have been in a medicine induced remission since

Nov. 08.  My RA is very quiet, and no pain and suffering.  I never thought I

would see this happen to me.  I was in so much angony for all those years.  My

feet and ankles were hit the hardest, and some days I could not  get out of bed,

or bear to stand on my feet..  Walking was torture.

There is always hope for all of us.  I have a wonderful Rheumy who takes

such good care of me.  She cares so much about me, and is awlays just a phone

call away, and if needed, will see me within 24 hours of my call.

I sure hope things get better for you.  It is awful to suffer 24/7 and we

all know what you are going through.

Wishing you many pain free days ahead.

Hugs,

Barbara
