New pain that puzzle me....

Hi Group,

I've had RA for about a year now. It took quite some time to find the right drug

combo and dosage, but in May of this year I FINALLY found some relief! It wasn't

perfection, but it was bareable and hardly an issue. , right? Well, about 3

weeks ago things started to go down hill. I'm no where near as bad as I was in

the past, but clearly I am regressing. One of the things that always baffles my

mind is how the RA spreads to different areas. I've had it in my neck (the

worst, by far), wrist, hands, ankles, knees, jaw... anyway, right now... it's so

weird that I almost am not sure it's the RA. It is kinda like my calf muscle and

up to the back of my thigh. I mostly feel it after getting up from a seated

position. It almost feels like a charlie horse. Weird right? It is not a joint,

but the muscle. I can rub it and feel it is definitely the muscle that is sore.

So... I had a flashback to the days I was on birth control pills, and remembered

something called Deep Vein Thrombosis, where you get sharp pains up the back of

your legs. I looked it up and it is kinda vague, so I am not really sure it is

that either... I'm just saying it to see if this is a common side effect of RA

meds or something. Thought I'd run this by the group. Does anyone else get this?

Should I go to my doctor (I have appt on Oct. 17th)

Thanks in advance!!

Take care and wishing us all pain free days!!!!

Jill
