Gail,

That's great work you're doing. I've done a fair amount of sub-

personality work too and when working with my different selves...I

refer to myself as " we " as well. :) It can be a really helpful

technique to discover and differentiate the different aspects of your

personality that are in conflict in order to build a sense of rapport

among them like you're doing. My " child " isn't really wild, she's

usually joyful or vulnerable, which helped me understand my tendency

to eat when feeling disconnected, hurt or bereft. It's interesting

that exploring my parts and naming them at times has helped me become

a more whole and accepting person. Sounds like you're having an fun

and enlightening time at it.

Latoya:)

Gail here,

thank you for the pat on the back. I got the term Wild Child from the

Four day win book and it seemed to resonate with me but as you noticed

I did put Sweet in front of the Wild Child..... :) I like being a

little wild and crazy at times.

Wow! That's kind of cool. I never thought about naming different

parts of my personality. I think I, too, have very different

characters within my personality that reveal themselves in certain

situations. I mean, not as extreme as a multiple-personality

disorder, obviously, but just differences in how I think, feel, and

react depending on the situation or my mood. I've never thought

about naming them though... Very intriguing, I think I will try

it :) Thanks for the good idea!
