Hi Lori,

That is what I was afraid of...it is an injection! Errgh! I hate shots. I'm

looking for something else that isn't a shot. But it looks like there isn't

anything else out there in pill form.

I googled Simponi and it said that the FDA just okay'd it on April this year.

I'm really praying for the best for your husband. Please do let us know how it

goes with the Simponi.

The injections are really no big deal. When I first started I, like you, was

very apprehensive about it. After the second injection I realized there wasn't

anything to it. Now I would prefer to give my self an injection rather than let

the health care " professional " do it. In terms of MTX after taking it orally for

months then switching to injections I found it to be much better, less hard on

the digestive system, less side effects, and overall much more effective.

Yeah, I'm still in the process of thinking about it. I'm so sick of

choking down handfuls of pills everyday. I figure I might be able to get

through ONE shot once a week or better yet once a month. Yearly would be even

better! LOL!
